Bricasti M1SE DAC

The M1 digital to analog converter is a dual mono design; there are two completely isolated channels, each with its own dedicated linear power supply, D/A converter, DDS clocking, and analog circuitry. This design ensures that analog crosstalk is virtually nonexistent, that the necessary power requirements for each channel are well met and isolated from each other and the digital processing is isolated, having its own power supply. With a twin DAC design, the dynamic range for each channel is optimized by using the stereo ADI 1955 D/A converter in a mono configuration. The M1 also includes Bricasti's own proprietary filter technology, further opening new territory with what is achievable in a modern D/A reference.

The Special Edition M1 builds on the success of the Classic M1 and adds some of the improvements offered in the new flagship Limited Edition Gold M1. Presented in the classic anodized black and aluminum finish, the M1 Special Edition incorporates Stillpoints feet that are engineered and optimized exclusively for the design. The added stability improves isolation from vibration which translates to a more transparent sonic presentation. Point-to-point wiring, a labor-intensive process, improves signal flow by eliminating various connectors which can degrade a signals performance.

Finally, the next generation power improvements have been incorporated in this edition to further improve filtering of unwanted noise and power ripple.

NETWORK PLAYER OPTION: The Bricasti network interface and media renderer option allows any Bricasti DAC to be seen as a DNLA device on an audio network and serve as an audio device to play or stream through a wired connection on your network. This option eliminates the need and complexity of a separate “Streamer” component.

“I2S” OPTION provides a proprietary interface between the DAC and Bricasti’s M19 SACD/CD Transport to allow for the most transparent connection as well as native DSD playback.

Either I2S OR the Network Player/Streamer option may be installed. Sorry, both options are not available together.
